[edit] Plot Synopsis
January 1, 1970, numerous kidnappings from all over the world have been reported. Eyewitnesses report of slender creatures wearing red lights attacking and grabbing young girls from nearby towns and villages. Bridgette Tenenbaum, German scientist, creator of ADAM and the Little Sisters, unveils that the attacker is in fact a Big Sister. Tenenbaum believes that the Big Sister is kidnapping girls attempting to transform them into creatures like her, she further goes on to say that the Big Sister is "like the golem story, not understanding the sin that she does".
[edit] Gameplay
The player takes the role of a prototype Big Daddy, the first of the many Big Daddies seen in the original game. Unlike the other recently produced Big Daddies, the player is given enhanced weapons and the ability to think freely -- an experiment to see whether or not this new breed of Big Daddy would become a threat to Rapture. The Big Sister, one of the Little Sisters from the first entry in the series who has mechanized herself and taken control of Rapture, appears to be the primary threat to your existence. In an effort to maintain the balance of power, the Big Sister attacks the player, forcing them to retreat into the frigid waters of the North Atlantic.
